Impulse Theater - May 10
Everyone is invited to attend a night of comedy at the Impulse Theater on Thursday, May 10th. Tickets are $15. Sign up with Chad by May 7th. Bring money for Light Rail and drinks. On the west side, meet at the Santa Fe and Mineral station at 6:15 pm. This group will arrive back around 10:25 pm. On the east side, meet at the 1-25 and Lincoln station at 6:00 pm. This group will arrive back around 10:35 pm.
Mother's Day - May 13
No Youth Events today! Spend the day with MOM!
VBS Training - May 19
This is the first of two training sessions offered for Shopkeepers and Group leaders for VBS. The VBS training will run from 1:30 to 4:00 pm. If you need to go through the Safeguarding Our Children class, that will be offered from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
Family Movie - May 20
Continuing the Star Wars Trilogy with Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back from 4-6 pm.
Family BBQ and Waterfight - May 20
Come and celebrate the end of the school year with a BBQ and water fight from 6-8 pm. We will also present our spiritual formation plan for the youth program.
VBS Volunteer Celebration Party and Training - June 6
The celebration begins at 6 and will also include training for shopkeepers and Group Leaders as well as the Safeguarding Our Children class.
VBS Set Up - June 9
Come help set up the gym for VBS from 9 am until 12 noon.

 Mission Trip
SHYP has decided to do a Mission Trip to Minot, ND. You may remember last year that Minot suffered severe flooding that destroyed ¼ of the town. Over 4000 homes were damaged and destroyed. There are many families who don’t have any family, friends or church homes to stay at as they live in Minot. Our Savior Lutheran Church (LCMS) is spearheading the restoration process for Minot and is the point congregation for all Faith based organizations helping with the disaster reconstruction. Over the next 3 summers 650 single unit dwellings will be built to help not only Lutheran families in the community but also many single parent, elderly, and needy families in the Minot area.
